Meet Zohra Samji
Instructional Designer
I'm an Instructional Designer and Graphic Designer based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Previously, I was a public school educator and presenter with over 9 years of experience in both adult and K-12 learning environments.
With my Master's degree in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas, I have both an academic and practical understanding of instructional systems design and andragogy.
I'm excited that you're here and I look forward to showcasing my work. Take a sneak preview below and then look through my full portfolio for more in-depth examples at what I can bring to you.
Articulate Rise
I've started creating various courses through Articulate. One of which is highlighted in this portfolio is "Effective & Interactive Trainings ." This course focuses on the why and how of the use of gamification.
Tools used: Canva, Illustrator, Audacity, etc
Canvas
During my time as secondary math instructor, I created over 4 different year-long courses to correspond with state and national curriculums. The courses led to recognition by district stakeholders of myself as a "Canvas PowerUser" and the Canvas courses as the model remote learning courses.
YouTube Channel
I've been fortunate enough to establish my own YouTube channel for these instructional videos on mathematics. They're used at different campuses at multiple districts. Learners say they are appreciative of the effective teaching style incorporated into the videos.
Tools used: PowerPoint, Loom, iMovie, and Google Slides.

Character Creation
As part of my graphic design certificate and time as a freelance graphic designer has resulted in experience working through many of the platforms including Illustrator for creating custom logo figures and InDesign for Style Guides and other printed products. I've also had the opportunity to utilize DreamWeaver with my knowledge of HTML coding to create various sites (see Javeria Crafts). Previews of some of my work are shown here but more can be seen on the Logos page.
